should be able to use the delete key to delete components from the
hierarchy

The whole outline needs some revision - left side selection for item
delete included. We will be doing this over time.

Amended with CMD-DELETE, which Java allows to be placed as a menu shortcut.
On PC this is CTRL-Delete.
Bug left in feature/design because of outline revisions really required.
